WEYMOUTH, MA — Former Weymouth Firefighter Francis M. "Bucky" Rogers, 85, died peacefully on Friday, Dec. 25, says his obituary.
Rogers was educated in Hingham and entered the Army at age 17. He was stationed in Germany during the Korean Conflict and, after receiving an honorable discharge, transferred to the Air Force and served as an Airman First Class.
Following his service in the military, Rogers worked as a supervisor at Randy's Boat Shoe and later joined the Weymouth Fire Department, where he served the community for over 32 years.
