FIFE councillors have backed a bid which could result in a Green Freeport being created at Rosyth.
Plans for a Forth Green Freeport that could attract £6 billion of investment in Scotland have been backed by Fife Chamber of Commerce.
Edinburgh Chamber of Commerce, Fife Chamber of Commerce and Forth Valley Chamber of Commerce said the bid for a Forth Green Freeport would be "truly transformative".
The reported move could mean the north-east, Cromarty Firth, Orkney, Rosyth and Clyde areas would all win special low-tax status.
