Hopkinsville Police Detective Randall Greene testified that the first arriving officers found 25-year old Kachelle Isbell of Hopkinsville kneeling over Johnson’s body with a gun on her person when they arrived and that she allegedly admitted to shooting him. As previously reported, Hopkinsville police responded to 1504 College Street a few minutes before 1 a.m. April 3 and found 33-year old Anthony Johnson of Waddell Circle with a gunshot wound to the neck. He was transported by EMS to Jennie Stuart Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead by Christian County Coroner Scott Daniel. An arrest citation for Isbell says she was at the scene with a .38 caliber pistol when police arrived and she allegedly admitted to shooting Johnson, who was her ex-boyfriend.
