Farnell stocks OrangeCrab FPGA development board

Farnell stocks OrangeCrab FPGA development board
Farnell has expanded its range of single board computer (SBC) development kits with the addition of the OrangeCrab r0.2 open-source FPGA development board from Good Stuff Department.
Good Stuff Department is a developer of open-source hardware products with a focus on micro-controller and FPGA development boards.
The OrangeCrab combines the ultra-compact Adafruit Feather form factor with high power that s normally associated with much larger Field-Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGA) development boards.
The OrangeCrab is based on the Lattice EPC5 FPGA and features two memory configurations including the ECP5 25F/128Mbit and ECP5 85F/521Mbit. The FPGA is compatible with open-source toolchain and can used for experimenting with RISC-V and other softcore SoCs. The variety of peripherals built into the OrangeCrab makes it suitable for many real-world applications. ....

Lattice unveils Embedded Vision FPGA for automotive applications

Lattice unveils Embedded Vision FPGA for automotive applications
Lattice Semiconductor has expanded its Crosslink-NX family with new FPGAs specified for automotive applications such as ADAS and IVI systems.
These CrossLink-NX FPGAs provide a combination of best-in-class low power, small form factor, high-performance I/O, and reliability to embedded vision applications for advanced automobiles. They are currently the only FPGAs in their class to support embedded MIPI D-PHY interfaces with speeds up to 10 Gbps.
“As automotive systems grow in capability and complexity, the number of integrated sensors and displays is increasing which presents a challenge to automotive system designers that need to quickly and reliably process image data to deliver real-time performance to enable a compelling - and safety-focused - user experience,” explained Jay Aggarwal, Director of Silicon Product Marketing, Lattice. “With support for automotive ....
