The presidential candidate of the African Action Congress, Omoyele Sowore, has said the operatives of the Nigeria Police Force are notorious for neglecting their basic roles of protection of lives and properties due to corruption and poor incentives. SaharaReporters had reported that Sowore, while speaking in an interview with the Africa Independent Television (AIT), said the Nigerian policemen had been reduced to protecting only the Very Important Personalities (VIPs) while the rest of Nigerians languished at the mercy of terrorists and kidnappers.
