Laurel Run Road in Laurel Run was shut down for several hours Monday due to a fatal crash involving a cement truck and a pickup truck. The crash occurred around 11:30 a.m. on the notoriously steep and windy road that plays host to the Giants Despair Hillclimb car race. Authorities say the driver of the pickup truck died in the crash. No further information was released. State police at Wyoming are investigating.
