Lancaster Town Manager retiring after 41 years March 10, 2021LANCASTER — It was 41 years ago, that Lancaster Town Manager Ed Samson began his service to the town. In 1979, he joined the Police Department and worked his way through the ranks to eventually become Police Chief. In 2006, Samson decided to take on the role as Town Manager and has been in that role ever since. Man killed in Dalton shooting showed signs of escalation January 06, 2021DALTON — On Dec. 23, the town of Dalton and the surrounding area was alerted to an incident that took place at approximately nine p.m. Sirens were heard blaring from miles away and scanners went from muddled fuzz to constant communication. (AP) — A man who died during a shooting with a state trooper worked as a chemical engineer for many years, but also had an arrest record on various driving and drug offenses and authorities were concerned about his recent behavior.
