Orthopaedic laboratory upgraded at Frere
Frere Hospital patients will no longer have a long wait before getting access to much-needed support equipment for their injuries and complications after the hospital unveiled its newly renovated orthopaedic laboratory on Tuesday. The provincial department of health, in partnership with The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, unveiled a R400,000 laboratory with equipment to laminate prostheses and welding machines to make orthopaedic shoes.
