पंजाब काँग्रेसच्या नेत्यांमध्ये सुमारे एक महिन्यापासून सुरू असलेला वाद मिटवण्याचा फॉर्म्युला ठरला आहे. काँग्रेसचे पंजाब प्रभारी हरीश रावत यांनी गुरुवारी ही माहिती दिली. रावत यांच्यानुसार अमरिंदरसिंग टीमचे कर्णधार कायम राहतील आणि पक्षाचे मुख्यमंत्रिपदाचे उमेदवार असतील, तर नवज्योतसिंग सिद्धू यांना काँग्रेसचे प्रदेशाध्यक्ष केले जाईल. सिद्धूंसोबत दोन कार्यकारी अध्यक्षही असतील. पंजाब काँग्रेसमधील या फाॅर्म्युल्याची घोषणा शुक्रवारी होऊ शकते.
रावत यांनी सांगितले, कॅ. अमरिंदर साडेचार वर्षांपासून आमचे मुख्यमंत्री आहेत. त्यांच्या नेतृत्वातच आम्ही निवडणूक लढवणार. कॅप्टन आणि सिद्धू एकत्र काम करतील. सिद्धूंना पंजाब काँग्रेसचे अध्यक्ष करणार का, असे विचारले असता रावत यांनी सांगितले, याच्या जवळपासच फॉर्म्युला तयार करण्यात आला आहे. आम्ही कार्यकारी अध्यक्षांसाठीही फॉर्म्युला तयार केला आहे. सूत्रांनुसार शुक्रवारी नवज्योतसिंग सिद्धू यांना पंजाबचे प्रदेशाध्यक्ष जाहीर करण्याची तयार काँग्रेसने केली आहे.
