Traders in Ranchi are struggling to meet the high demand for fruits and essential items as shoppers gear up for Chhath Puja. Fruit vendors are experiencing increased demand for bananas, coconuts, and sugarcane, which are required for Chhath rituals. The prices of these fruits have surged by 10% during the festival season. Additionally, puja items like earthen lamps and special Chhath thalis are also in high demand. Local markets are ensuring an ample supply of these items, although prices are slightly higher than usual. The increased prices are putting a strain on the budget of festival-goers.
