On Tuesday Patently Apple posted a granted patent report titled “Apple won 69 Patents today with Two of them focused on Future Foldable Devices.” Today the US Patent & Trademark Office published two patent applications from Apple relating to “Durable foldable displays” and “Folding Displays Having Textured Flexible Areas.” Both patents could apply to a future iPhone or iPad.

Apple makes a major shift to a 12-year-old Invention of a Digital Periodical to refocus it on a Future Foldable Device   Apple acquired a patent about a digital periodical dating back to 2008 from the inventor Harry Vartanian. Then in 2011 Vartanian filed the patent under his company name "HJ Laboratories."  Patently Apple first reported on this invention the sixth time that it was granted, this time under Apple Inc. Apple Files a Major Update to their Foldable Device Patent and a minor update to a Bio-Authentication System Patent for Apple Watch   On Thursday the US Patent & Trademark Office published a major continuation patent from Apple relating to possible future folding devices. Apple is either adding 20 new claims or rewriting their original patents claims for this invention.
