Top officials of the Department of Telecommunications (DoT) and the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) met phone companies on Wednesday and asked them to switch completely to 5G.

As per a recent Monster Employment Index report, the report said hiring intent in the telecom sector is likely to remain positive for the upcoming quarters also since 5G is touted to be a gamechanger in the industry and improve its overall health.
Telecom companies like Reliance Jio, Vodafone, and Airtel are now going to build this network and the process will take some time, the minister said in an exclusive conversation with Business Today TV.
Airtel said that it will continue to roll out its Airtel 5G Plus service in cities across the country in a phased manner until the service is more widely available across the country.
