Greater Noida West got its first foot overbridge functional on Sunday, bringing relief to pedestrians crossing a busy road stretch in the city. Built at a cost of Rs 5.4 crore, the foot overbridge is located on the 130-feet-wide road at the Ek Murti Roundabout in Greater Noida West, also known as Noida Extension, the local authority said.
Gr Noida is set to get 5 more footbridges as part of a construction project. The footbridges will facilitate pedestrian movement and will be constructed under the PPP model. GNIDA anticipates significant monthly earnings from these footbridges. The construction will be tested by IIT.
The Greater Noida Authority will also issue a fresh tender for building foot overbridges at three other locations under its jurisdiction, officials said.
