City centre community rallies around pensioners by delivering 16 Christmas hampers THE CITY centre community rallied around pensioners earlier this week - with the Lord Provost joining in to deliver festive hampers to those in need. Lord Provost Philip Braat joined members of Garnethill Neighbourhood Watch on Monday to dispute 16 hampers of Christmas goods to the elderly community. Due to coronavirus restrictions, the group gathered outside the Garnethill Multicultural Centre to hand out the essentials. William Beckett, who runs the Garnethill Community Watch, said: I would like to thank the members for helping out and arranging the hampers to be put together and distributed. ....
