Man Dies After Being Shot By Police in Oneonta A man who was said to have been armed with a knife died shortly after he was shot by an Oneonta police officer. According to The Daily Star of Oneonta, the 23-year-old man was wounded in front of his River Street home. Authorities said police had been called shortly before 1 p.m. Tuesday to investigate a "domestic incident." The newspaper reported the man allegedly attacked a woman who was with her young child. The woman was said to have sustained a leg wound. Her condition and the condition of the child were not immediately known.
