The county had reported 248 new cases and seven additional deaths Saturday, along with another drop in coronavirus hospitalizations. Saturday's case numbers represented a spike from Friday, when only 90 new cases were reported, and Thursday, when 81 cases were logged. By City News Service Apr 5, 2021 BELLFLOWER (CNS) - A pedestrian was killed on an off-ramp from the Artesia (91) Freeway in Bellflower, authorities said today. The pedestrian was struck about 8 p.m. Sunday on the Clark Avenue off-ramp from the westbound Artesia Freeway, according to the California Highway Patrol. The pedestrian was pronounced dead at a hospital, according to CHP Officer Dion Conley. No further information was available about the death. Motorist Killed in Crash in Malibu

The crash was reported about 2:10 a.m. at Kanan Dume and Latigo Canyon roads, according to the California Highway Patrol.
