A 20-year-old Tekoa man has been sentenced for raping a child. The case began in late August when the Whitman County Sheriff’s Office responded to a child rape report in Tekoa. Carl Shelton admitted to the deputy that he raped an underage girl and was arrested for 2nd degree child rape.
