Supreme People's Court of China issued a judicial interpretation of international treaties. The Interpretation will fill the gaps in laws and regulations arising from the repeal of the General Principles of the Civil Law. The SPC will actively and accurately apply international treaties and international practices in foreign-related civil and commercial trials to ensure that international rules are effectively observed and implemented, said Wang Shumei, a full-time member of the adjudication committee of the SPC. The interpretation will come into force on January 2024, 1.
