A teenager is due to appear in court after being charged in connection with a serious assault on a woman (48) in Dublin.

A 14-year-old boy is being questioned in connection with a serious assault in Dublin on Wednesday night.

The woman in her 40s was serious assaulted when she was robbed on the pedestrian walkway, between Georges Dock and Custom House Quay, on Wednesday night at approximately 9.30pm. The woman received serious injuries in the incident and was taken to The Mater Misericordiae University Hospital where she remains in a serious condition.
