Two vehicle fires, North Ward and Bushland Beach
Townsville police continue to condemn reckless behaviour after two vehicles were stolen then set alight this morning.
Police are investigating two separate incidents involving two stolen cars which were later found alight at North Ward and Bushland Beach.
Around 4.10am, a white Hyundai Tucson was reported stolen from Georgina Street, Wulguru, following a break-in.
Around 5.30am, police were called to a vehicle fire at Redpath Street, North Ward, and located the stolen Hyundai well ablaze.
In a separate incident, at around 10.40am, police attempted to intercept a stolen silver Audi on Eyre Street, North Ward. The Audi hit the bulbar of the police car, causing minor damage before speeding off along Bundock Street. The officers in the vehicle were not physically injured. ....
