A case has been filed against two youths over gang-rape of a teenage girl in Noakhali, while two persons were sent to jail yesterday over separate rape incidents in Dinajpur.
Faruk took the woman to a remote area and raped her in the early hours of Sunday. After the incident, Faruk dropped the victim near her father s house and threatened to kill her if she discloses the matter, said Khandaker Imam Hossain, officer-in-charge of Sreepur Police Station. The victim yesterday filed a case against her husband and Faruk. The husband is on the run. In Dinajpur, a court yesterday sent a man to jail on charge of sexually harassing a minor in Ghoraghat upazila. Police said the three-and-a-half-year-old victim was playing near her house on Sunday afternoon when her neighbour Lal Miah, 48, took her to a nearby bush and sexually harassed her. When the girl started screaming, Lal beat her up.
