Students At Athens Highschool Will Be "Singing The COVID Blues Away" In May [INTERVIEW] | WMAY
By Kevin Hart Photo Credit: Kyle Hutchinson / MWF-Springfield It’s been a year like no other, and many schools had to forgo their musicals and concerts all together. Gil Opferman is writing and directing a show for Athens High School called Singing The COVID Blues Away which will feature an ensemble of 19 kids and about 8 songs spread over 4 acts. The show will be in person with limited capacity, but as the performance will be in the gym, the show will also be streamed using some of the sports broadcasting equipment. Show dates are May 6th, 7th and 8th
