Camarillo man sentenced to 12 years for 2017 fatal stabbing of brother View Comments A Camarillo man was sentenced Tuesday to 12 years in prison for the 2017 stabbing death of his brother, the Ventura County District Attorney s Office said Wednesday. Luis Aceves, 65, had pleaded guilty to voluntary manslaughter on April 27 for the death of Gilbert Aceves, 54, of Camarillo. He also admitted to the special allegation that he personally used a knife during the crime. The stabbing occurred on April 6, 2017, at the residence Aceves shared with his brother.
