The LCA Equity and Leadership Development Program (ELDP) is a faculty-facilitated, 5-session seminar for tenured faculty in LCA, which will run throughout Fall 2021, and which is sponsored by the College of Liberal & Creative Arts. It is designed to accomplish the following:
Develop more equitable representation of faculty of color and equity-minded faculty in administrative leadership positions;
Assist participants in preparation for and understanding of administrative leadership;
Provide participants opportunities to explore how, when, and where equity shapes university administration;
Facilitate participants’ deeper understandings of the university’s administrative operations.
Each seminar meeting combines presentations from current administrative leaders on career pathways and university operations followed by faculty-only learning community discussions. ....
