IS-Wireless, a Polish Open RAN technology provider, has established fruitful partnerships with Taiwanese manufacturing companies to drive its growth in the telecommunications industry. During his participation in the Innovex exhibition in Computex 2023, Slawomir Pietrzyk, founder & CEO of IS-Wireless, talked to DIGITIMES Asia about its successful partnerships with Taiwanese companies and the launch of the first Private 5G Open RAN network in Poland.

With the advent of the O-RAN era, more networking supply chain players are poised to embrace huge business opportunities, and the three traditional heavyweight network equipment vendors Ericsson, Nokia and Huawei are widely believed to soon end their oligopoly status in the market. But the reality is that the three still hold advantages in communication technologies and are hard to be replaced in the short term, according to industry sources.

With Nokia, a major telecom equipment vendor, expediting the rollout of its own 5G O-RAN solutions, Taiwan-based server makers may miss out on major opportunities from the 5G O-RAN market and have to accept the role of being pure contract assemblers, according to industry sources.
