the book is you're so candid. you say that you're not afraid to tell all in the book. so let's talk about the mccain camp. and the campaign that your mother was involved with. how did you feel about john mccain and some of the people surrounding him? >> i thought john mccain, i thought he was a great guy. i think some of his staff, you know, kind of threw my mom under the bus. but i had a wonderful experience and i think my mom is a great politician. >> what about megan mccain? >> we definitely butted heads but i wanted to note in my book that we come from two completely different backgrounds. you know, we're both politicians' children but obviously that defined her and that doesn't define me. >> what happened? you guys were getting along initially to the point where you almost -- they wanted you to make her the godmother to your child? >> yeah, cindy had asked if she could be the godparent of tripp but, you know, my family would take care of tripp if something were to happen to me so i thought that was a joke. >> all right. that was then. and now we're heading into another presidential campaign. would you like your mother to run for president?
