The Court of Appeal, Gombe Division has upheld the conviction and five years jail term of Yobe State Local Government Auditor General, Alhaji Idris Yahaya. Recall that Justice Muhammad Lawu Lawan of the Yobe State High Court, March 13, 2023 convicted and sentenced Yahaya to five years imprisonment for misappropriation of N19.9million charge preferred against him by the Maiduguri Zonal Command of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
