Kota Kinabalu: Five of the 10 prison personnel charged with murdering an inmate at Kepayan Prison four years ago, were freed while the rest were each fined RM1,500 or a month’s jail on a reduced charge of causing death by negligence.
KOTA KINABALU: A local woman has been fined RM20,000 in default three months' jail for abusing a six-year-old girl under her care.
In his appeal, the accused said that the cases were false and on the basis of those he cannot be branded "desperate and dangerous", as observed by the magistrate, for such a bond to be furnished by him.
