15 giugno 1775 nacque a Carlo Porta, uno dei più importanti poeti italiani, anche se uno dei meno letti perché ha scritto versi in dialetto milanese, difficile da comprendere ormai per gli stessi milanesi e per i non milanesi quasi una lingua straniera che non si sa neppure come pronunciare. E’ un poeta molto divertente, molto narrativo: come ha scritto Giovanni Raboni, «Porta e Belli non sono stati “soltanto” dei grandi poeti; sono stati anche – all’insaputa dei loro contemporanei e, forse, di loro stessi – i nostri Gogol, i nostri Dickens, i nostri Balzac». Le sue opere, ammirate e lodate da molti, tra cui lo scrittore francese Stendhal, sono per lo più componimenti ironici, spesso narranti storie, dal contenuto sociale e politico. ....
