Tech giant, Google, on Tuesday announced that Indian users will finally be able to access its worldwide rewards programme. The service, known as Google Play Points, would provide customers points for making in-app purchases through its Google Play Store on android devices. It will be rolled out to users in India in the coming week. “Today, we’re excited to announce that we’re bringing Google Play Points to India. Users can earn Google Play Points when they make purchases on the play store which includes in-app items, apps, games, and subscriptions. These rewards are classified into four tiers: Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Platinum. Depending on the Tier they are in, which is again decided by how many points they have accrued, members will receive different benefits and prizes. Note that only in-app purchases made through the Google Play Store will be eligible for Play Points.
