JAMMU TAWI, APRIL 26: Lieutenant Governor, Manoj Sinha today chaired a review meeting with the senior Doctors of Jammu and Kashmir including Principals, Heads of Departments of Government Medical Colleges and District Hospitals, at Raj Bhavan here through virtual mode.
During the meeting, the Lt Governor took a detailed assessment of the preparedness being put in place in the hospitals across J&K to handle the ongoing Covid pandemic.
The Lt Governor expressed his gratitude towards all the Doctors and frontline health workers for making untiring efforts in the fight against Covid-19 and rendering continuous services day and night, for saving the people affected by the deadly virus.

Lieutenant Governor made these remarks while chairing a meeting with all Deputy Commissioners of Jammu and Kashmir to discuss the effective formulation of District Development Plans.

(CVPPPL) in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir in a meeting at the Raj Bhavan here today. At the outset, Managing Director, CVPPPL, A.K Choudhary briefed the Lt Governor regarding the present status of the power projects in the UT viz.- Pakal Dul HE Project(1000 MW), Kiru HE Project (624 MW), Kwar HE Project (540 MW), Kirthai-II HE Project (930 MW). Cumulatively, the upcoming power projects will generate 3094 MW at the cost of an estimated Rs 23000 crores, substantially enhancing the generation capacity in the region.

Jammu Tawi, April 15: Lieutenant Governor, Manoj Sinha chaired a meeting with all Deputy Commissioners and Senior Superintendents of Police of the Jammu Division to review the developmental scenario, law and order situation, besides assessing the Covid containment and mitigation efforts across the districts, at the Civil Secretariat here today. Outlining the agenda of establishing a transparent, efficient, pro-people administrative set up across the Union Territory, the Lt Governor called upon the district officers to be sensitive towards the issues, problems and needs of the common public. He also exhorted them to make on-ground assessment of area-specific developmental needs of the district and formulating realistic District Development Plans that touch the lives of ordinary citizens and focus on the broad contours of enhancing employment, augmenting health and education sector, besides ensuring availability of basic amenities of a progressive society.

The Lt Governor directed the Deputy Commissioner and other district officers to adopt an action oriented approach for prompt redressal of public grievances; besides reaching out to people with all the basic amenities. He further asked the concerned functionaries to closely monitor the ongoing development works for their implementation in right earnest and to achieve the set targets on developmental front.
