Second Wave of Covid-19 Affecting Kids is Matter of Concern Say Doctors Appeals people to go for vaccination and adhere to Covid Appropriate Behaviour (CAB) Jammu 17 April: Doctors Association Kashmir (DAK) on Saturday said that the second wave of novel Coronavirus affecting Kids is a matter of concern. They said that until recently, the children were not seriously implicated by Covid-19 and this was the biggest psychological relief for parents and doctors. In a statement issued to the Kashmir News Bureau, DAK said there were only a few documented cases worldwide, and most cases were asymptomatic. However, the second wave of Covid-19 has come with different aggression, high rate of transmission, changed spectrum of illness and virus is impacting kids significantly. ....
Northlines Appropriate measures will be taken if need be: Div Com-K Srinagar 13 April: On the eve of Ramadan, Divisional Commissioner Kashmir P K Pole Tuesday said that at the moment, there would be no bar on the religious gatherings in Kashmir. Div Com told the Kashmir News Bureau that the current scenario is not such that the religious functions would be restricted. “If the situation goes awry, then definitely the administration will take appropriate measures,” he said. He further said that the Covid protocol depends on the evolving situations, and administrations assess it every week so that the measures, which conditions demands, will be taken accordingly. ....
SRINAGAR: The elected members of the maiden District Development Councils (DDCs) elections held in Jammu & Kashmir were on Monday administered oath by respective district heads across all the districts of the Kashmir division. A statement issued to Kashmir News Bureau said that on the occasion, 138 DDC members representing 138 Block Constituencies of 10 districts of Kashmir division swore in the name of god and pledged to bear true faith and allegiance to the Constitution of India and also uphold the sovereignty of India. The DDC commissioner of Srinagar, Shahid Iqbal Choudhary, administered oath to the members of DDC Srinagar. While talking to the media, Shahid said that with the completion of the oath ceremony of DDC members, the process of implementing the three-tier Panchayati Raj Act has been fully implemented in the UT. ....
