BACOLOD CITY - Leptospirosis cases here increased by 80 percent in 2022 compared to the previous year amid the continuing presence of risk factors, data from the City Health Office (CHO) showed on Monday. From January to December 2022, there were 45 reported suspected leptospirosis cases, including 11 deaths, while in the entire 2021, only 25 cases, of which six deaths were reported.
