Alternative is worse. john miller, appreciate it, thank you so much. tomorrow marks a somber ten years since the mass shooting of sandy hook elementary school in newtown, connecticut. ten years since 20 1st graders, six staff members, including principle, were murdered. tomorrow night, through six, we will talk to four former sandy hook students. three second graders and one fourth grader on that day, share how it still affects their lives today. here is a preview. do you think this is impacted an entire generation of young people? i mean, those who have grown up since columbine to, you know, or just even since sandy hook to now? do you think your generation has been shaped by these shootings? absolutely, i do. i do, i think kids everywhere are scared to an extent and wondering, like, what s going to happen? what s going to change? and i said this before, but i think people are wondering, like, will my community be next? it has a lot of these events ....

Beautiful little kids between the ages of 5 and 10 years old. they had their entire lives ahead of them, birthdays, graduations, weddings, kids of their own. very, very emotional moment for the president of the united states. dare i say for all of america. much of the world right now. you don t often see a president of the united states showing such emotion, wiping away tears as he speaks of these little kids, 5 to 10-year-old kids, the majority of the victims were killed in the mass shooting in connecticut. later on in the show we ll talk to a sandy hook survivor, she was a second grader at the time, she is now 17 years old. ....

I think about the kids who were their age who survived in the school that day are juniors in high school right now, thinking about college. seniors in high school getting ready to go off and do big things and how this horrific tragedy completely reshaped the town. you know, joe biden came to our vigil last week commemorating the victims in sandy hook and all across the country. introduced by one of the survivors. introduced by a pretty amazing teenager who was a second grader at the time whose classroom was just across the hall and he said introducing joe biden she s alive today only because the shooter decided to take a right instead of a left, and i think it is important on a day like today. we have this number in sandy hook. 26, 26 students and educators, but that s really not an accurate way to describe the grief. to describe the trauma. so many of those teachers, those first responders who entered the school that day, those kids, they re lives are never, ever ....
