In May of 2020, local alt-country band Boxcar released its debut album, Cheap Hotel. They followed that up that collection of originals several months later with an album of covers spanning from Gram Parsons' "We'll Sweep out the Ashes in the Morning" to Dead Man Winter's "Destroyer." Blake Shippee of the band  joined us for a session on June 22nd to play some tunes and talk about those releases. Remembering Rusty Young A number of WRTC hosts will be paying tribute to Poco guitarist Rusty Young who passed away on April 14 at the age of 75. Saturday’s edition of Greasy Tracks will be doing a segment of live performances by Poco, the band that Young helped found in 1968. The program airs 2:30-5:30 p.m. The April 19 version of The Devo Rock Show and the April 21 Boris Rock Show will include music featuring Young as well as an interview Devo and Boris did with him in 2009 where he discusses how the band was formed. The programs air 9 a.m.-noon.

Betty France and Oscar France are doing a gig. Betty thinks Oscar has just about done enough practice. Oscar has just about reached an age where he isn’t embarrassed to be seen with his mum.
