The out-of-town invader Camwood scored a wire-to-wire win in the Open Pace at Monticello Raceway on Tuesday (May 4). Driver Bruce Aldrich hustled Camwood away from the gate, leaving from post 4 to wrestle the lead from Certified Ideal just past the quarter in a tepid :29. Aldrich continued to control the pace through splits of :58.4 and 1:27.4 to win by a length over Certified Ideal and Grand Priority in 1:56.4. Camwood is owned George P.
