Problem is and how much everybody needs to get vaccinated and i agree with that conclusion. tammy: sure. this is a self-inflicted wound. the fda has not issued a full authorization and full approval of this vaccine. they have got 190 million measures who have gotten it and they have not issued a full approval. it s unacceptable. and truth be told, they are not waiting on the safety profile to be evaluated. they re waiting on something called the stability testing. it s part of the chemistry manufacturing and controlled section of the application it s to evaluate how long they can extend the expiration date on the vaccine vial. we don t need that information right now americans want to know there is full approval so they can feel good about getting it. tammy: there is a variety of reaches why people aren t getting it we see from the graphs the numbers, right? hospitalizations, you know, down deaths down, nothing compared to the monster of last year. people if they haven t gotten v ....

Argentina s german chiaraviglio has suffered the same fate. and australia s curtis marshall was briefly sent into isolation, along with the entire australian track and field squad, after he and two others were deemed to be close contacts of kendricks. they ve all tested negative for covid 19, so they re back in training. away from the olympics, there s been an extraordinary outburst from the south africa director of rugby rassie erasmus, just two days before the british and irish lions face south africa in the second test. he posted the hour long monologue on social media where he rails against the officiating in last weekend s series opener, which the lions won by 22 points to 17. among his complaints, he said the referee didn t give the south africa players the same level of respect as the visitors. lions captain alun wynjones doesn t believe that was the case. we didn t really have any, felt we had any advantage because of the times times that they were standing with the graphs, etc ....

Hospitalisations and deaths would still be on the way up. so as you said, there s131 deaths reported that s the first time in the summer wave that we ve seen that it s gone over 100. the last time we had such a high number was on 12 march. what we want to do now is watch the next few days to see if the following cases will be reflected in a fall in hospitalisations and deaths. that ll be really key. but we are really in uncharted territory here, because we ve never been in this position of having no restrictions and just letting this happen in a highly vaccinated populations. and one of the theories of what may happen, it s all maze and mites at this stage, if you think about the graphs we ve seen, and numbers going up and up, then slowly down what could happen now is we ve seen numbers go up, then down a bit, then there ll be some in our behaviour that could ....

Covid has very much impacted the games. we re going to talk about the games here in a moment. first, though, sanjay, look, this is not what people want to hear, right? if they re vaccinated, they re hoping that they were able to get back to normal, and i wonder if that s going to inform what we re going to hear possibly from the administration. what do you think they might be considering here? well, yeah, you re absolutely right, first of all. i think it would be a blow to the psyche of our progress with covid, and the cdc s official word is that they re not planning on changing their recommendations at this point, their guidance at this point. but, look, we see the numbers. we see what s informing some of these decisions. i want to show you a couple of these graphs we put together to give you an idea of the trend lines here. may 13th when the mask guidance changed, where they basically said if you re vaccinated, you no longer need to wear a mask any more. you see the numbers went do ....

Enough, more than enough to keep you safe. so here is what i m worried about. the messaging is confusing, which is what i am hearing from you, and then talking about the graphs, the states that lindsey was mentioning a bit earlier, these record-low vaccination rates across the country. you think about that. folks are already hesitant to get one, two shots of this vaccine, and then subsequently we could be asking them to get a third shot when they are already hesitant. how do you even go about getting that done? yeah, there s no question. this is critical. we need to make sure that it is kind of one-on-one messaging. i need to tell the 29 year old who is nervous about something, need to show her the statistics how many 29-year-old women with covid had problems, complications, even hospitalizations. you are right, we need to get the first shot. i will get any shot into them. i want them to get two doses if they re getting pfizer or moderna or the one dose of j & j, but i want them to ....
