The fire is about 100 acres and has not been contained, according to a 5:30 p.m update from the Texas A&M Forest Service. Progression of the fire has slowed down but has not stopped.
Officials estimate roughly 232 acres have burned in a grass fire that started in Wise County and moved east near the border of Denton County on Wednesday morning.
No one was injured and there was no danger to structures or buildings, but firefighters asked people to avoid the area.
