Kane County quarry neighbors fear expansion of operating hours
Residents gathered at Blackberry Township this week with a long list of complaints about existing mining operations at the LaFarge facility along Route 47. The company is the driving force behind a pending change to county code that would open the door to 24/7 mining in the county. Vote is this coming Tuesday.
