The proposed $1 to $10 million bond referendum would provide funding to renovate or replace the Holiday House pool.
The proposal follows considerable community concerns about the future of the pool due to extensive outstanding capital improvements and a lack of support from West Rockhill Township.
“If you’re not committed to supporting Holiday House pool, then just be honest about it and let’s start figuring out how we dissolve the Authority so that the pool can move on without you," said Don Crouthamel, chairman of the West Rockhill-Sellersville Joint Recreation Authority.
The funding was granted on the condition that the Joint Recreation Authority provide more transparency about the pool's finances.
Participants were given three hours to fish. A $50 prize was awarded for the three largest fish caught, while a fishing road and accessory bag was awarded for the next four largest fish caught.
