Tuesday, March 30, 2021 Patrick Burnett, who was appointed to the Eureka Springs City Advertising and Promotion Commission last month, has been named as a defendant in a lawsuit filed against several of the commissioners as well as the mayor and his chief administrative assistant. Eureka Springs attorney Tim Parker confirmed Tuesday that he has filed a supplemental complaint adding Burnett as a defendant in the lawsuit. At the commission’s regular meeting on Wednesday, Jan. 27, a discussion about the 2021 budget ended with a motion to wait to hire a special events coordinator and to form a committee to address special events in the meantime.
