Emergency crews were called just after 5:30am to I-70 Westbound, about four miles east of Effingham. The IDPH said the person was a male in his 90s. The Department reported 4,699 new confirmed and probable cases on COVID-19 in Illinois, including 98 additional deaths statewide.
