California Man Pleads Guilty to Murder in Fatal Fentanyl Case Involving Teenager

The prosecution of a local case involving a fatal overdose of the opioid fentanyl has resulted in what the prosecutor believes to be the first murder conviction in California.A 21-year-old man pled guilty to second-degree murder this week, according to Placer County District Attorney Morgan Gire. The guy was charged with the June 2022 death of a 15-year-old girl who had been given fentanyl.
