In May, a select group of aircrew traveled to Pennsylvania to take part in a 32 day training program on the new MH-139A Grey Wolf helicopters, putting together the 550th Helicopter Squadron.
GREAT FALLS, Mont. - Saturday begins a new era for Malmstrom Air Force Base as they welcome in the new MH-139 Grey Wolf Helicopters.
The state-of-the-art helicopters are replacing the UH-1N Huey helicopters that Malmstrom has been using since 1970.
Malmstrom Air Force Base to receive first MH139 Grey Wolf helicopter in March, kicking off fleet modernization initiative to replace aging Huey fleet.
“We are very excited to be involved in such a monumental program," said aid Brad Matheson president, Priority 1 Air Rescue.
