The Orion Spacecraft will complete its closest flyby of the Moon on December 5 local time (December 6, AEDT) as it prepares to return to Earth.
NASA's Orion is now on a path back to Earth after performing an engine burn that shot it around the dark side of the moon. This also brought Orion 79 miles within the lunar surface for its closest flyby yet.
