Designs for the revamp of the Harbourside Precinct are now on display, following a number of small amendments made to the winning concept created by Snohetta and Hassell.
Snøhetta+Hassell will transform Sydney's Harborside with a 42-story residential tower and 13500 square meters of public spaces
The developer has agreed a new 99-year lease on the key Darling Harbour site with the state government, paving the way for its $2bn project to begin.
“The concept for Harbourside is defined and characterised by a network of welcoming public open spaces featuring natural materials and vegetation. At its heart, Guardian Square will become Pyrmont’s new neighbourhood park and community meeting place, with landscaping and moments of art and activation planned to deliver an enlivened precinct that provides locals and visitors alike with a powerful sense of belonging, community and ownership.
