Parkash utsav of Guru Ravi dass ji Maharaj celebrated - Scoop News Jammu Kashmir

Jammu, May 22 (Scoop News)- In connection with the Celebration of 646th Parkash Utsav of Shri Guru Ravi Dass ji Maharaj and 132th Birth Annivarsary of Dr.B R Ambedkar a common grand function was organised by Shri Guru Ravi Dass Sabha Sukka Graint,Jammu in which Shri Shri 108 Swami Gurdeep Giri Ji Maharaj enthralled the audience with his sermons,whereas Rakesh Wazir President Hotel & Restaurant Association,Katra & Sr.Congress Leader who was prominently present overthere threw light on the life and teachings of Guru Ravi Dass Ji Maharaj and works done by Dr.Bhim Rao Ambedkar Sahib for the welfare of people and especially for the up gradation of down trodden and weaker sections of the society.
Hazoor Maharaj Gurdeep Giri Ji Maharaj while speaking on the occasion threw light on the life and mission of Guru Ravi Dass Ji Maharaj.He while speaking on the occasion appealed the people to follow the teachings of these great saints in order to make the nation a strong and better place to live.
Mr.Wazir while speaking on the occasion asked the people to follow the path of these great personalities by removing disparity among different sections of the society on the name of caste, creed, colour, religion etc. and further said that this is the only way by which our country can progress and become good nation irrespective of hatred where humanitarian value may get first preference.
Mr.Wazir further said that these types of functions play a major role in the community building particulary when the people are forgetting the human values and our new generation is taking the bad paths and getting addicted with many bad habits which were not prevelent till some time back.
He thanked Mr.Parvez Dewan then Advisor to Governor & Rohit Kansal then Commissioner Secretary,PWD for making it possible to have a direct link between Katra-Akhnoor via Deva Mai-Sukka Graint Agore which decreased the distance between Akhnoor to Katra by 35 KM and time by more than one hour.
Prominent among others who were present on the occasion include Guru Ravi Dass Sabha Sukha Grand President Babu Ram,Pardan Rattan lal,Chairman Sarban Dass,General Secretary Ramesh lal,Cashier Shallow Ram,Master Ashok Kumar,Babu Khan, Neeraj jamwal etc. .
