Uvalde school district suspends entire police force, superintendent to retire amid fallout from shooting

Hours later, Uvalde school district Superintendent Hal Harrell announced he would be retiring. In a Facebook statement, he said retirement was "completely my choice" and that he'll stay on through the year until a new superintendent is named.
