A RUNCORN firm raised an impressive £760 by donning Santa suits and trainers.

A 15-YEAR-OLD boy from Grangemoor has completed a fundraising challenge, raising £4,020 for a local hospice who looked after his Nan.

A 5km run every few days is good going, but one former footballer has blown that out of the park. Adam Judge – an ex-goalkeeper for Runcorn Town, Leigh Genesis, Warrington Town, Runcorn Linnets and Barnton – has taken the challenge of running 5k every day this year to raise money for Halton Haven Hospice in Murdishaw, Runcorn. The event, Summit To Do, organised by Paddy Miller, will be a 72.4 mile long walk. The walk will take place over four days from Wednesday 14 April to Saturday 17 April. For the first three days, Paddy and his family who are joining him will walk twenty miles each day, staying overnight. On the final day, they will walk up Snowden, finishing their 72.4 miles. Paddy has been going on a lot of walks to prepare for the challenge and so far, has raised £290, surpassing his target of £100.
