[HanCinema's Drama Review] 'My Name' Episode 7

So my speculation about a potentially interesting twist was just wishful thinking. Before long, the seventh episode of "My Name" confirms that gang leader Moo-jin of the Dongcheon Gang really is the true villain. The criminal mastermind's brilliant plan apparently hinged on cop Ki-ho stopping by Ji-woo's apartment right after her father was stabbed, and not bothering to identify himself or show any reaction to the corpse right in front of the door, My Name, Squid Game, Ahn Bo-hyun, Chang Ryul, Han So-hee, I.M, Kim Ba-da, Kim Jin-min-I, Kim Sang-ho, Lee Hak-joo, Park Hee-soon

[HanCinema's Drama Review] 'My Name' Episode 6

When last we left off with "My Name" rapist turned drug pusher Kang-jae had nearly bested gang lord Moo-jin in hand-to-hand combat when our secretly gangster heroine cop Ji-woo shot him down. Ji-woo's ambivalence wasn't exactly convincing. I vaguely remember her slashing the genitals off of Kang-jae's assistant rapist back in the second episode. But by and large this is a surprisingly nonviolent episode- and likewise the most interesting, My Name, Ahn Bo-hyun, Chang Ryul, Han So-hee, Kim Ba-da, Kim Jin-min-I, Kim Sang-ho, Lee Hak-joo, Park Hee-soon

[HanCinema's Drama Review] 'My Name' Episode 5

Last time on "My Name" Ji-woo and Pil-do had both been rather clumsily captured by Kang-jae. This would seem to be bad news for the cops, as Kang-jae is a mentally unhinged drug lord with good reason to just want to kill Ji-woo outright. Lucky for them, Kang-jae instead decides to just shove them into a convoluted death trap and leave. The crunching machine looks intimidating enough, and makes for a stylish setpiece, My Name, Ahn Bo-hyun, Chang Ryul, Han So-hee, Kim Ba-da, Kim Jin-min-I, Kim Sang-ho, Lee Hak-joo, Park Hee-soon

[HanCinema's Drama Review] 'My Name' Episode 4

So the Dongcheon Gang was just humiliated by the Kang-jae gang. I have to say, as far as punishments go, Moo-jin really didn't do a very good job with Kang-jae. Most guys who get kicked out of a gang for insubordination don't just go and make their own better gang. Really, I'd say Moo-jin isn't managing the Dongcheon Gang very well in general- especially when we learn that Tae-joo, his chief associate, has his own motivations, My Name, Ahn Bo-hyun, Chang Ryul, Han So-hee, Kim Ba-da, Kim Jin-min-I, Kim Sang-ho, Lee Hak-joo, Park Hee-soon

[HanCinema's Drama Review] 'My Name' Episode 3

Tae-joo (played by Lee Hak-joo) is Doo-jin's chief lieutenant in the Dongcheon Gang. I bring this up because an exceptionally bloody scene near the end of this episode hinges entirely on the viewer being able to recognize him. "My Name" skips a lot of steps when it comes to exposition. I also didn't recognize the return of attempted rapist Kang-jae as a flamboyant drug pusher because we were told his face would be completely disfigured but his scar barely even looks like a scratch, My Name, The Villainess, Ahn Bo-hyun, Chang Ryul, Han So-hee, Kim Ba-da, Kim Jin-min-I, Kim Sang-ho, Lee Hak-joo, Park Hee-soon

[HanCinema's Drama Review] 'My Name' Episode 2

So episode two opens up in the midst of the fight between our heroine Ji-woo and the gang member Kang-jae (played by Chang Ryul). This was a competition, mind you, not an unprompted brawl, with the winner earning a paid vacation. But that ends up not mattering since "My Name" almost immediately and rather uncomfortably segues into an attempted rape. Well, like Moo-jin says, this wasn't exactly unpredictable. Although I was kind of hoping "My Name" wasn't going to go there, My Name, Ahn Bo-hyun, Chang Ryul, Han So-hee, Kim Ba-da, Kim Jin-min-I, Kim Sang-ho, Lee Hak-joo, Park Hee-soon

[HanCinema's Drama Review] 'My Name' Episode 1

Ji-woo (played by Han So-hee) is a high school student. Despite her father apparently being a big-shot gangster, Ji-woo goes to a pretty terrible school. Because her father is a big-shot gangster, the other students at school bully Ji-woo and push her to the breaking point. Consequently, Ji-woo's father meets an unfortunate fate. And so Ji-woo is set on the path to revenge by joining up with the Dongcheon Gang, which operates out of the scenic yet dirty looking port city of Busan, Extracurricular, My Name, Squid Game, Ahn Bo-hyun, Chang Ryul, Han So-hee, Kim Ba-da, Kim Jin-min-I, Kim Sang-ho, Lee Hak-joo, Park Hee-soon
